Brazilian waxing involves applying a resin-based wax to the pubic area. The wax, which adheres to the hair as it hardens, is then covered with small strips of waxing paper. When the wax hardens sufficiently, the paper is pulled off quickly, removing the hair from its roots as the wax strip is pulled away.
Body hair can sometimes be a serious concern for men, affecting day-to-day activities such as not being able to expose your skin or go to public baths. These issues are often hard to discuss, but Brazilian Wax could be the way to ease your self-consciousness. Get smooth and clean skin in no time!
Unlike laser hair removal, waxing is very efficient and you will be completely hairless in one session. With razors you will get prickly hair, but waxing will not leave spots and will in fact change your hair (after several sessions) to be lighter and softer. Wax also removes dead skin, which will help exfoliate and smoothen your skin.
Does waxing get rid of odor?
Armpits, VIO and chests are usually the hairiest areas and can have the strongest odors. Strong body odor is biologically related to sweat glands, sebum and bacteria, but hair worsens the situation. However, waxing removes the hair from the root which will improve the release of these odors.

Waxing FAQs
| Is it painful? | The perception will vary between individuals, but it is nothing unbearable (based on our experience). |
| How long does the session take? | Please see the price list for reference. |
| What if I become aroused during the treatment? | Please do not worry – our salon is all male staff, so we are able to deal with these situations in a discrete manner without causing undue embarrassment. |
| Can I get a Brazilian wax when I am on my period? | No. Please visit when your period is over. |
| How long does my hair need to be when getting the treatment? | It should be at least 5mm long. If the hair is too short, the wax will pull the hair but won’t be able to grip it enough to totally remove the hair. |
| Do I need to trim it before the treatment? | No. Please visit with natural length. |
| Will my hair get lighter? | Yes. After several treatments, your hair will become softer and thinner and results last longer than other forms of hair removal. |
| How often should I get a waxing treatment? | 5 or 6 weeks after the first treatment is recommended, but please note that at least 5mm length is required. |
| Anything to keep in mind after the treatment? | Your skin will be sensitive after the treatment. It is fine to take a shower but avoid soaking in a bath, or anything that will cause stimulation such as swimming in the sea or sunbathing for at least 24 hours. |
| Can I combine waxing with laser hair removal? | No. Waxing will remove the hair root so laser will not work after the waxing treatment. |
| Is there anything to bring for my appointment? | There is nothing to bring – just bring yourself! |
| Will it cause itchiness? | It will produce redness or itchiness depending on the waxing area or your skin condition. Please avoid scratching the area as it may cause skin issues from bacteria getting through your skin. |
| Is it tattoo-friendly? | Yes. But as long as you don’t have a wound on your tattoo. |
| Can I get waxing and spray tanning on the same day? | It is possible if the waxing and spray tanning areas are different. For example, if you get a VIO treatment, we will ask you to wear disposable shorts and we can spray the remaining areas. Please note that it may cause irritation if you get a waxing treatment and spray tanning on the same area on the same day. Therefore, we recommend you to get a spray tanning the day after you get any waxing treatments. |
